Industrial Exposure – Petrokimia Gresik & Petrowidada

Gained first-hand exposure to chemical manufacturing operations through plant tours, technical presentations, and on-site visits at Petrokimia Gresik and Petrowidada.

Participated in an industrial exposure program to PT Petrokimia Gresik and PT Petrowidada, gaining first-hand insight into chemical manufacturing processes and the working environment of large-scale chemical industries.

At Petrokimia Gresik, the visit included a technical presentation at the Learning Center, followed by a plant tour and Q&A session. The tour provided an overview of the plant environment, production facilities, and how chemical engineering principles are applied in large-scale industrial operations.

At Petrowidada, I participated in a direct site tour, including visits to the control room and process equipment areas. As the plant was undergoing a production shutdown at the time of the visit, I had the opportunity to observe industrial equipment and facilities from a closer perspective and gain a better understanding of their physical configuration and role within the process.

The experience allowed me to connect academic knowledge with real industrial applications, particularly in process operations, process equipment, plant layout, control systems, safety, and industrial work practices. It also strengthened my technical observation, communication, and ability to understand chemical engineering processes from an operational perspective.
