Body Lotion Product Development & Entrepreneurship Project – From Formulation to Market
Developed and commercialized a body lotion formulated with Alpha Arbutin and Niacinamide, achieving 50+ bottles sold and repeat orders from customers.
Developed a body lotion product as part of a product development and entrepreneurship project, working collaboratively with a team throughout the formulation, testing, production, and commercialization stages.
The formulation was developed with Alpha Arbutin and Niacinamide as the primary active ingredients, with the composition determined through literature research and iterative trial-and-error formulation. Product evaluation included pH, organoleptic properties, viscosity, and adhesion testing to assess the product’s characteristics and performance.

The product was produced in small-scale batches and packaged in 100 g bottles, then marketed through Instagram, WhatsApp, and direct/offline sales. The product achieved 50+ bottles sold and generated repeat orders, with some customers purchasing the product two to three times.
This project strengthened my competencies in product formulation, experimental design, product evaluation, technical problem-solving, teamwork, marketing, and entrepreneurship, while providing practical experience in translating a technical product concept into a marketable product.
